Knapp was the 71st overall pick last season by the Phillies out of High School. He had a scholarship to North Carolina but passed on it to pitch for a team he followed growing up.
He's 6'5", 225 and has a mid 90's fastball that he throws from high arm angle giving it a great downward trajectory. He also has a very solid slider that he can spot well.
In his first start of the season for Lakewood this season he pitched 5.2 IP and struck out 10, walking 3 while registering 97 on the gun.
I have a feeling that this is the first of many dominant performances from this young man this season.
